Tequila Wharf is a new contemporary residential development for East London, situated close to Limehouse and Commercial Road, overlooking the Regents Canal. It is yet another example of the major urban renewal taking place across East London. The high standards required for this project are clear throughout.
- There are a total of 130 balconies to several elevations of the building, constructed from a mixture of galvanized steel, stainless steel, glass and timber decking. These balconies were fully assembled off site, including the glazing and decking, and then lifted into position are bolted to galvanized brackets cast into the concrete slabs.
- Several balconies along the canal elevation are supported by bright red feature columns and tension wire system.
- The ground floor apartments have larger balconies, with steps down to patio areas. Security to the private patio gardens along the canal bank is provided by galvanized railings.
- Security gates to several entrances, including automation.
- All main stair cases and landings were fully fabricated off-site, and installed together with the balustrade fitted; lifted into position as the building construction progressed.
- Stainless steel handrails to external steps and ramps.
- Glass divider screens mounted on galvanized frames.
- Galvanized grilles to smoke vents.
- Galvanized wall-mounted glass balustrade to roof terraces.
